PROMPT MEDICAL EVALUATION AND TREATMENT– of non-life-threatening conditions related to cancer and its treatment.
ADMINISTRATION OF IV FLUIDS – medications, and blood transfusions as needed.
Management of chemotherapy and radiation therapy-related side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and skin reactions.
Referral to other specialists – and services as needed, such as radiation oncology, palliative care, and mental health services.
Diagnostic services – such as blood tests, imaging studies (CT scans, X-rays), and biopsies.
Coordination of care – with the patient’s primary oncologist to ensure continuity of care and follow-up after the visit.
